Support your fellow fishing enthusiast and be reasonably polite. No Flames please.
EG it is okay to say "I think that XYZ knot stinks." It is not okay to say "I think you are a F'n idiot to use that XYZ knot."
There are times to share how you feel the point is be polite In how you write. The admins are not worried about what you write. But if you are a rude insensitive troll you will be edited or limited on this message board.
Your Fishing club has some very active Committees... If you have time to support the cause or activity Please do.
Youth Fishing Program... has a lot of success and is our main charity activity. Become a Mentor. Learn the ropes and get the satisfaction of helping kids learn the sport an to share the love of the Ocean.
Conservation... There are multiple ways to help on the Conservation efforts. Habitat or Environmental awareness activity or be a Pen Pal and help care for the baby White Seabass until they are Juveniles and have a better chance to survive in the wild. Good hands on efforts to help our fishery happen here.
Anglers Education... Share a link to useful info on the web. Or attend one of our Fishing Skills Classes.
Halibut Derby... Our main charity event for many years. Look for information on the next meeting or the next event. Lend a hand. Volunteer and have fun.
Grants... Grant Writing team checks in. Or you learn about an opportunity that we could tap. Tell us. Maybe we can get that grant for the XYZ committee that needs $ for the efforts of our club members to help the ... Would you like to help write for a grant? If so Say so and tell us your interests. This helps fund our charity and gives us clarity of action. We can not do it all. We can do more!
Follow the threads of interst and have fun. Share if you have anything of interest on Fishing / Boating / Conservation / Volunteering / Charity work etc.
