Also note that it was 1986 when my brother joined the MDRA team that fished the HIBT in Kona with George Balian and Bob Godfrey and another angler when… Carl’s fish and team MDRA Tagged and Released the first marlin ever in the HIBT. The introduction of the Tag and Release category was brand new to those waters and they had a hard time convincing the boat captains in Hawaii to release a good fish.
A point of pride that our fishing club is a leader in fishing prowess and conservation.
