As per our club secretary Bob Godfrey ( Sweet ol' Bob )
"It was a little windy for rock fishing on Sunday but we got enough for the Fish Fry in the Park. Teams on Ron's Big Mama, Larry's Diver Gent, Dave's diamond Cutter, Keith's Ramblin and Bob's Unreel competed for cash prizes. John Szymura won for heaviest fish and Big Mama won for catching the heaviest bag of boned filets. Jerry Napolitano's "secret sauce" was used to fry the delicious fresh filets. All the fish tacos you could eat was provided along with salads etc.
A special thanks to Corolene for securing a BBQ and picnic table at the Park. Every one agreed we should do this again, soon, stand by for a revised Calendar of events.

That was a good collection of boats out on the water that day. We did okay on the Ramblin'. 7 miles out at the short banks we meetered fish and they seemed to have lock jaw. We got on them rather tight but the wind/current moved us so much that we had to go up to bigger weights. Hard to stay down in the zone for long. So we had to move quite a bit. The other boats I talked to had similar issues with the fish not biting. One fish we had was just 1 tenth of a pound from the winning fish. We had a nice mellow day in beautiful weather. The "Round up" and weigh in at the Burton Chase park was well attended. Great to see many familiar faces in such a happy place. We even used the Fish Cleaning Station at the park. Cool to have a big high table at the park to clean your fish. (* for next time I'll bring a cutting board up with me in the bucket.) Thank you to Bob and Jerry for the food and all the work. Well Done. Good Eats. This is what I like so much about our little fishing club. Fun get togethers like this. Keith
