There are $$$$ out there. We need to locate the grants and Write for them.
We need a few Grant Writers in the club. At present Larry Brown has been very successful at getting several grants for the Youth Fishing Program.
And to do Angler Education and outreach on the Safe fish information.
Our member Steve S has a grant opportunity in the works for approx $20,000 that will be shared with SMBRF for getting scientific data on halibut and the sex and the size and location caught. Where sport fishermen can start to support the science with better data. This will be a first step in the Halibut rescue we want to do so that we can release baby halibut someday soon.
We need funding for the building of new white seabass pens before our old ones sink. Where can we get these funds. Just ask a few people/places/businesses. Many have a budget to support people like us in MDR where the sweat and hands on work takes place.
If you can type and submit forms and help us go through the back and forth negotiation process... Speak up!
